Spring is here!

After having a pretty bad week, it was truly an Easter treat to wake up to such amazing, beautiful weather.  This Easter morning was really fun for me as it was the first Easter that my son was old enough to get excited about the Easter Bunny.  We dyed eggs last night and he searched for them this morning.  I was pretty impressed that he found them all and my heart melted each time his grin lit up with pride at his find.  He is currently bouncing off the walls from jelly-bean-sugar-rush, but it's all worth it.  We're off to Aunt Mary's for tea and then Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner.  I hope you all enjoy your Sunday and this awesome spring weather that will hopefully stick around! 

The very first daffodils are coming up all around the yard, can't wait to see the full blooms :)

I love cloudy days!

Well, it is taking me longer than I expected to get my website the way I want it.  Things are especially difficult to accomplish with a toddler on your lap saying over and over "cars, cars, cars"... Image search is great for keeping him entertained. 

I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to a cloudy day.  This weather is so perfect for macro photography.  I gave myself a reprieve from the computer and headed out for a couple of hours in my yard.  Another pleasant surprise was to see the beautiful lilac bushes blossoming.  This is our first spring here in this house and I had no idea they were here!  To add to the stunning beauty of it all, there were perfect little rain drops hanging from the buds from the thunderstorm last night.

I'm excited to bring some home to Mom on Sunday.  I think she'll love them, they're so fragrant, it makes my head spin.
