Me: "OK Bodhi, get your coat on, we're going outside."
Bodhi: "I need my raincoat, it's raining, Mommy!"
Me: "Umm, no honey, it's sunny outside, just put on your regular jacket."
Bodhi: "Mommy, it's raining, I NEEEEEED my raincoat."
Me: "Ok, Bodhi, if you say so."
Bodhi: "I say so, Mommy."
My amazing friend Kelly at CommunityAMP is a genius at finding inspiring stuff on the web and sent this site earlier today. Behold... The Human Calendar!
This is way cool, so check it out. I absolutely love when people come up with ideas that make me smile and lean in close to my computer screen (magazine, book, etc.). Click on the calendar at their site to read the "about" page, a quick explanation of how the calendar was born. There's also instructions for imbeding a mini version into your site.
It took me a minute to realize, perhaps since it's been more than 4 hours since a cup of coffee, that the images shift day by day. I can't wait to look at it tomorrow :)
The sweet, soft smell, the wide, bright eyes ever exploring new surroundings, the pure innocence...ahhh newborns. Baby N helped to usher in this beautiful warm weather with her session. One of the warmer days we had recently, but just a hint of snow left on the ground. She lay perfectly still and content bundled up in blankets enjoying a sweet moment of fresh air. Baby N's Mommy wanted something a little more unusual with her session, an image to stand out amongst the more traditional images we captured later on in the session. To which I said, I have lists and lists of unusal ideas! I can't help that I'm an artsy type :) A few of you have asked about the stunning baby on my new blog header. Well, I couldn't wait for the sneak peek, I had to put her up there right away! Here are a few other images that stood out from the session...
I brought this rocking chair along with me to the session. It's my own rocking child from when I was a child.
After having a pretty bad week, it was truly an Easter treat to wake up to such amazing, beautiful weather. This Easter morning was really fun for me as it was the first Easter that my son was old enough to get excited about the Easter Bunny. We dyed eggs last night and he searched for them this morning. I was pretty impressed that he found them all and my heart melted each time his grin lit up with pride at his find. He is currently bouncing off the walls from jelly-bean-sugar-rush, but it's all worth it. We're off to Aunt Mary's for tea and then Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner. I hope you all enjoy your Sunday and this awesome spring weather that will hopefully stick around!

I had a portrait session in NYC yesterday with such a fun family. It is always a pleasure to photograph people that are open to my silly suggestions and absolutely so loving with each other. Of course, how could you not just want to eat up little Baby C? She is such a darling little girl, full of excitement and wonder and giggles... I never get tired of seeing adorable babies! Here's a sneak peek for Mom and Dad...

Have you noticed a change to Castle Point Photography? I thought a little early Spring Cleaning was in order. A fresh new logo and an updated look for my blog. A few more changes on their way this week... updated galleries and new items to offer along with product shots of some of the current items I offer.
Another big change to Castle Point Photography is the separation of my commercial work from the Castle Point Photography site. My work as a portrait photographer has become my main gig-which I love!-and so I felt it important to give it it's own little world. I will still be accepting commercial work and will be moving my portfolio to www.meredithjwilliams.com soon. Additionally, my fine art portfolio will be moving to www.petalandstone.com, a little pet project which will include notecards, stationary, art prints, and canvas art. This site will be appearing in the summer months in time for the gift giving season!!
So on to the celebration! I love a good sale and I think my new logo is a perfect reason to celebrate and thank my current and future clients for making Castle Point Photography such a success.
